This one was taken August 20, 1987. It is a shot of Extra 646 North just outside of Fort St John, BC leaving town on it's up one day - back the next trip to Fort Nelson. Up front on this day was M420 #646 along with an RS-18 and two more M420's. As the train passed at about 35MPH, I got this nice little pan shot.

BC Rail sold all remaining B-units to Omnitrax in November 1998, see roster below.

M420B #682 (wrecked in Oct. 96) sitting in front of the Prince George shops, behind is Caterpillar-repowered RS18 #605 coupled with slug S 405.

On October 16th 1996 the following M420B's were involved in a wreck on the Chetwynd sub: 681, 682 and 687. Two years before another three were wrecked on the same train (the southbound McKenzie switcher).
