The Indiana shortline Louisville, New Albany & Corydon RR connects with Norfolk Southern at Corydon Junction. It rosters three ALCo S-type switchers. Two CAT D-398-engined ex-GT ALCo S-4, numbered 1000 and 1001. The latter is stored. The third is no. 86, also an ex-GT S-4. To be complete, a baby blue GE 45-ton #101 is also around.
1999 acquistions were two larger Alcos purchased from Iowa Interstate - the #850, a C-420 which was previously ex-GB&W #323 and #900, an RS-36 which was built as D&H #5015. Two recently acquired two C-424s will be held for future rebuilding. Info by Chuck Owen/LNA&C
