The Morristown & Erie Railroad got rid of their C-430 units. Both are now with the new Western New York & Pennsylvania Railroad. Four ex CP Rail MLW C-424 were added to the M&E roster. M&E still rosters their longtime ALCo C-424 workhorses 18 and 19. M&E acquired from the bankrupt LTV Steel Mining rail operation ten ALCo RS-11 which arrived in summer/fall 2003. Not all will return to service. Nine are currently (Oct. 03) stored at Lake Jct., the 7216 is stored at Morristown.

C-424 #18 was built in 9/64 (b/n 338201). Whippany NJ, October 6th, 2003

Ex-LTV Steel Mining 7216 is stored near the M&E shops at Morristown, October 6th, 2003. It lacks a few parts. It is going to be used for parts to get C-424 no. 4240 running, hopefully. M&E also got a crane and a Jordan spreader from LTV.
