The former Ferrocarriles Argentinos 8448 and 8488 are the only ALCo RSD16 of
the TBA. The two ALCos were remotorizadas in 1991 with new 12-251B manufactured
by Materfer. After the rebuilt they were not used and they were stored until
1998 in Pérez.
They carry out tasks on the Suarez - Zárate
section of the former line Mitre.
