The 8257 is on a test trip after being repaired in the Talleres Pérez, near Rosario's city. These shops belonged to the former line Mitre. At the present time [1998] a cooperative of workers has been created that are contracted to repairs of locomotives of different companies.
The picture was taken in Villa Constitución, also near Rosario. Note fresh and shiny paint job.

These are two pictures of Argentine RSD16s taken back in 1992. Both are of the overnight train from Cordoba which by this late date had lost its sleepers, lounge and cinema cars and was called the El Cordobes.

FA 8229 The first is on the four track approach to Buenos Aires' Retiro terminal, the automatic semaphores are a product of the British Power Railway Signal Co and date back to the 1920s.

The second picture, taken with the 200mm zoom on a hot, humid day, is of the train approaching Colegiales, about 6kms from Retiro.
