A part of the former Ferrocarril General San Martin is now operated by the Transportes Metropolitanos San Martin. Created after the privatization of the Ferrocarriles Argentinos the railway received between 15 and 20 ALCo RSD-16's. The TMSM shares tracks with the BAP and operates between Retiro and Pilar.
